Welcome to GBswimstars...
Started in 2009 by the award-winning
photographer Simon Wright, the GBswimstars project is now one of the largest online
collections of aquatic sports images.
As a keen Masters swimmer and specialist sports photographer Simon's
aim is to capture powerful, memorable photographs that will help promote
British swimming, diving, synchronised swimming and water polo in the
run up to the Rio 2016 Olympic games.
He has been
visiting clubs across the country and photographing the swim
stars of today and future stars of Rio 2016 and beyond; telling a
photographic story of their journey
to the Olympic games.
Clubs use the GBswimstars photographs to promote their own swimming, diving
or water polo stars - by putting the photos on their Website and sending
them to the local/national press. They also sell the photos to help with
fundraising and some of the photos are used in posters to help
inspire and motivate the children and athletes.
Supported by British Swimming GBswimstars is a voluntary project
promoting British aquatic
sports.
Please

project, or view the
